Gamma Iota Sigma (GIS) is a registered 501(c)(3) educational organization founded in 1965, and is the only international business fraternity for students of insurance, risk management and actuarial science.
University of Texas at Austin’s Gamma Zeta Chapter of GIS was chartered November, 2018. We were awarded the well rounded and special achievement award within our first year of being chartered! Our chapter hopes to help members learn about the insurance industry and become future leaders in the insurance industry.
We are seeking excited students looking to join Gamma Iota Sigma at UT! We educate our members with visits from various guest speakers who are experts in data science, risk management, insurance, and actuarial fields. In addition, we create professional opportunities and unique experiences by traveling to business conferences in cities all around the United States. Build new relationships and make friends for life with your fellow members all while setting up for your future.
